Short & Medium to Long-Term Streams
This is a temporary visa option that allows skilled migrants to work for approved business sponsors in Australia for up to four years. This visa may also serve as a pathway to the permanent residency for some applicants within the Medium to Long-Term Stream. Also available as part of the Designated Area Migration Agreement (DAMA) program, for certain nominated occupations and Australian regions.

This is a permanent visa option available to selected skilled migrants working for approved business sponsors in specific occupations. Also available as part of the Designated Area Migration Agreement (DAMA) program, for certain nominated occupations and Australian regions.

SKILLED MIGRATION

There are several temporary and permanent visa options available to skilled migrants seeking to live and work in Australia. Most of these visas allow invited applicants with skills that are in-demand by the Australian Government to travel and to temporarily or permanently live and work anywhere in Australia.

Most of these visas, however, require applicants to be invited by relevant authorities before applying for them, and may also require applicants to possess a valid job offer from a business sponsor or nominator.

In addition, applicants must also:
– Have an occupation listed under the relevant Skilled occupations list for the state or territory for which they are applying to;
– Have their skills for the relevant nominated occupation recognised by a Skills Assessment authority; and
– Satisfy the Skilled Points Test.

TRAINING (SUBCLASS 407) VISA

This temporary visa option allows applicants to take part in workplace-based occupational training activities with an Australian employer in order to improve their professional skills on their nominated occupation. It is also available to those seeking to enhance their skills in an area of tertiary study or field of expertise, or for the purposes of overall professional development.

TEMPORARY GRADUATE (SUBCLASS 485) VISA

This temporary visa option allows international students who have completed their relevant professional studies in Australia to further their stay in the country to take part in a wide-range of activities, including work. Available to onshore applicants only.

NATIONAL INNOVATION (SUBCLASS 188) VISA

This permanent visa option is available to those who have an internationally-recognised track-record for exceptional and outstanding performance or achievement in a wide-range of talents and eligible fields.
